For me, May begins the onset of a bunch of changes. With my son graduating from high school this month, we move forward on a path that leads straight to Butler University...Go Bulldogs! My calendar is already stockpiled with summer appointments, like wisdom teeth removal and college physicals, as well as celebrations, college orientation, and getaways. I am only filled with excitement as each days unfolds into something new and will make sure to keep you all informed as to yoga schedule changes that will crop up. Usually, I do this on a monthly basis but will go as far forward as getting Adam moved into school so you can adjust your calendars as well.
I have already subbed out classes to Terry and Jennifer (thanks you guys!) but some will need to be cancelled as well. A few will be cancelled due to on-goings at Healing Arts in Batavia this summer, but I am working on some more fun field trips including... paddle board yoga, Top Golf, kirtan and more:) Most of the cancelled classes are in July...please see schedule below. To stay informed, you must open (and read!) my monthly newsletters or check my website for information. www.inspiredbyearth.com I am always open to field trip ideas so send me whatever pops into your head! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yoga Class Schedule/Workshops *Gentle/Restorative classes every Wednesday evening from 6-7:15pm. As suggested by its name, moonstone is strongly connected to the moon and to intuition, making it a perfect stone for May. Every month the moon waxes and wanes reminding us of the cycles of life that we experience. The tides and the rhythms of the earth are also governed by the moon. In addition, moon cycles affect the inhabitants of the earth, both animal and human. We can look at the effects the full moon is believed to have on the strange behaviors of both. The term “lunatic” comes from the supposed influence of the moon. Moonstone promotes intuition and empathy and encourages lucid dreaming especially at the time of the full moon. It is a powerful stone for psychic awareness and intuition. It allows one to become open to guidance from higher beings, enhancing communications with them and applying them at the appropriate time. The frequency of moonstone assists in clearing the aura, activating the sixth and seventh chakras as well as the central chakric column of energy. Some of the benefits include: calming the emotions, releasing frustrations and enhancing patience and objectivity. It is also helpful to the digestive system, reproductive system and can relieve symptoms of PMS. A moonstone elixir was traditionally used for insomnia and to prevent sleepwalking. It is definitely a beautiful stone for this time of year.

I should have seen this coming. A few days ago I was beginning to feel uneasy again. I felt I need to see a forest or a river. I feel I should be driving by a mountainside with a wide view of the sea. I didn't pursue this itch. Today I am feeling sick. I am not just feeling sick physically, I am in deep emotional pain again. I am having regressions. It seems I get really sick when I am far from nature. I need to be in touch with Earth even just twice a month.
