"When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused." Rainer Maria Rilke As our plane flew in over Mexico, I could feel the anticipation within my veins. Or perhaps it was the saline in my body needing to reconnect with the salt water below. The ride to the hotel seemed long to me: each second exciting and agitating at the same time as I drew nearer and nearer to the moment my feet would touch sand. We dropped the luggage in our room and got out to the beach as soon as possible. I made it to the the water's edge and took my first real breath in years. I realized, like our iPhones and iPads, we need to be recharged as well. I could almost see my own charging cable; one end connecting to my spirit, the other end attached to the ocean's breath. We bought a protective case for my phone so I could take it in the ocean with me. Finally, some of the most amazing pictures of the waves! I shot video during attempts to stay ahead of the waves towering over my head. Sometimes, the footage shows my feet flying up as the water forcefully sweeps me off balance. Other times, one only hears and sees bubbles as I am tumbled inside a tackling wave. After those shots, the video resumes from where I have dragged myself to the sand, out of breath, still being knocked over by the waves that burst onto shore. What does your charging cable connect to? How long has it been since you have reconnected? And, OMG, isn't it time? _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ GUESS WHAT?! Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene, it has a moon-like glow. Selenite can be colorless, gray, white, green or golden brown. Unlike other crystals, selenite never needs to be cleansed and can be used to cleanse and charge other stones. It is a stone of mental clarity, honesty and truth, making it a wonderful protection stone. It unblocks stagnant energy and instills deep peace. Associated with the third eye chakra, it is a stone of intuition and psychic awareness. It is definitely a great addition to your collection.
